The Wanderer Slim Leg Pant

Perfect fit and that wonderful soft fabric Encircled is known for. A perfect ankle pant.

I have purchased the Lounge, the Dressy Sweat, the Wanderer and now the SLIM Wanderer. This one is the winner for me. It combines your fab Micro Modal fabric with an extremely versatile look that I can easily move from day into night, home office to biz meeting. It will def be my go-to travel pant, covering a variety of dress situations. The cut around the thighs is still comfy and generous (like orig Wanderer), with a flattering slimmer profile in the leg. Again, not cheap, but you get what you pay for, and this is a Canadian made product that I can get behind because we pay a living wage here. My only criticism: I do wish Encircled would show more than just perfect 5'9" models with <30" waists. I am certainly not built that way, but I took a big leap of faith because you're manufactured here in Canada. I am barely 5' tall on my best day, wearing the XXL, so I do have to shorten and lose that lovely little side slit at the hem. But I'm okay with that to wear my all-Canadian super comfy 3-season pants.

I love the fabric and the potential versatility of these pants. Unfortunately, the fit for me did not work. I would say they fit pretty true to size, but I feel I'd need to size up to XL for a more comfortable waist for me and then the hips and thighs would be too big. I'm sad they didn't work out for me - returned.

I gave these to my elderly mother who was in need of some new pants. She loves the fit, both around the waist and length. She likes the black colour and likes the feel of the material. The one issue is the smell. As soon as we opened the order there was an extremely strong smell like machine oil. As former recreational seamstresses, all we could think of was sewing machine oil got into the material. We've washed them about four times now, with one being a hand wash allowing the pants to soak in soapy water for a time. Still some residual smell.

I also ordered a sweater at the same time and that does not have the same problem, so maybe it's a one-off. Gave four stars for this reason only, because Mum's been self conscious wearing them, thinking they smell. This would not stop me from purchasing again.
